Addressing the convocation ceremony as chief guest, Acting Governor of Sindh and Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khoro congratulated the gradating students and advised them to serve the country with honesty and dignity.
He said that the students were now ready to face the exciting world out there. "You have to be an important part of the nation building process through your respective capabilities that you have acquired here and elsewhere.
Today there is ample scope for innovation and entrepreneurship," he added.
He said that the way the country was evolving, the opportunities for the capable ones would continuously expand.
He wished all the students who graduated a very successful career ahead.
Dr. Abdul Basit, Chancellor, Preston University, in his speech remarked that varsity had produced 80000 graduates since its inception who were serving in their respective fields in country and all over the word.
Dr Ibrahim Shah Bukhari, Vice Chancellor, Preston University, said that Preston University was the oldest Private Sector University of the Country.
He said that law and order situation in city has badly affected the educational process at private institutes.
New dates for postponed papers: The Controller of Examinations, University of Karachi, has announced that the paper for BCom Part 1 (Private) that was supposed to be held on 29 January and the paper for MBBS First Profession (Part A and B) which was scheduled to be held on 30 January 2013 will now be held on Sunday, 10 February 2013.
