Punjab Government has decided to start the recruitment process for 2600 lecturers in Government colleges of the provinces. The decision is made to overcome the shortage of teaching staff in the public sector colleges. Punjab Public service commission will likely announce the recruitment process through advertisement next month.
Director of Public Instruction Colleges Punjab has prepared a summary for the permanent recruitment of lecturers. Permanent appointments will be made on the vacancies of lecturers in colleges. According to DPI Colleges Punjab, work has been completed for the recruitment of lecturers.
The list of subjects will be sent to the Higher Education Department. Additional Chief Secretary Higher Education Department Iram Bukhari will get the final approval of the summary from the Punjab Chief Minister after which the Punjab Public Service Commission will start the process of recruitment of 2600 lecturers in colleges.
