It is really common for many of us to work an 8-hour shift, and in the end, we feel like we haven’t done much. So where did all this time go? It can be frustrating when you try to work to the best of your abilities and end up achieving little to none of your targets. Millions of people across the globe struggle with this, and we understand how tough this can be.
In this blog, we will give you tips and tricks to boost your productivity and achieve your targets smoothly. Let’s dig in!
1. Discipline Is the Key to Success!
Give yourself a while and think. Think about what wastes most of your time. Is it procrastination? Is it because you struggle to follow a timetable? Are you inconsistent with your efforts? Or are you easily distracted by many different things?
What does this show? All of these reasons point to a lack of discipline in you. If you want to be productive at your work, at your studies, or at any other activity that you do, the first thing you need to observe is discipline. Many people get bored, some may lose their motivation, and some may come across many other problems. In this race people who succeed are the ones who do it happy, tired, relaxed, sad, angry, or in any other state. Their discipline makes them consistent with their work and they end up achieving their goals.
So, the first thing you must mentally and physically prepare yourself for is discipline!

2. Set Short-Term and Long-Term Goals
Goal setting is a very effective strategy to boost your productivity. However, you need to define two types of goals: Short-term and long-term. You must set your targets on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. Your daily to weekly targets can be your short-term goals, while the monthly to yearly targets are your long-term goals. Here’s what you can do,
1. Decide on what you wish to achieve in 6 months to a year.
2. On this basis, prepare your monthly targets.
3. On the basis of your monthly targets decide upon your daily and weekly tasks.
4. Work on your tasks diligently!
This division of tasks will eventually lead you to your long-term achievements, and make you feel fulfilled.
3. Do One Thing at a Time
Sometimes, human brains can go through a period of hyperactivity. In these times you will find yourself trying to do multiple tasks at the same time because you just had a sudden doze of energy. If that happens,
CALM DOWN!
You are not being productive. In fact, your brain is making you anxious to just get work done. If you give in to this anxiousness you will end up either not doing anything, or getting your work all wrong. In these situations, you need to play your own brain. Take a deep breath and focus on one task. Resist that urge to engage in other tasks as you go on this voyage.
If you can control your own brain, there is hardly anything that can keep you from being productive.

4. Set a Time Table
Being inconsistent in your sleeping, eating, working, and chilling schedules can be one of the greatest productivity killers. Set a realistic timetable for yourself. Your timetable must be made according to the following standards,
1. It should prioritize healthy sleep.
2. It should focus on dedicating your brain's most productive hours to your work, studies, or other goals you wish to achieve
3. It should ensure that you engage in adequate physical activity, such as walking and exercising.
4. It should not deprive you of time with your friends and family
5. It should also give you at least an hour of leisure for yourself
6. If you maintain a timetable like that you will be productive with all of your tasks, and will also lead a happy and healthy life.

5. Use the Pomodoro Technique
Do you know about the Pomodoro Technique?
The Pomodoro Technique is a time management strategy. Here is a step-by-step guide to the Pomodoro method of time management,
1. Select a task
2. Define a certain number of hours for this task
3. Start working on the task with intervals of 25 minutes
4. Work dedicatedly for the first 25 minutes
5. Take a 5 to 10 minutes break
6. Do another session of work for 25 minutes
7. Take another 5-to-10-minute break
8. Preferably you should do 4 sets of 25-minute intervals and after that take a longer break of at least 30 minutes.
The Pomodoro is a famous method because it can help you,
1. Improve your focus
2. Avoid distractions
3. Keep your motivation levels high
4. Boost your productivity
6. Stop Being a Perfectionist
This is something you must understand deeply. There is a difference between being a perfectionist and being a careless worker. Not all of your tasks need to be done with absolute perfection. It is completely okay to not constantly tweak your work in hopes of getting it perfect. But it is not ok to produce low-quality work, that needs multiple revisions before it is submitted. Hence, make sure that you do all the necessary work correctly, and focus on perfecting only those tasks that need to be perfected. For example, you may want to perfect a project proposal that you need to present to an international client, but you may not need to spend hours perfecting an email you send to your co-workers just to ask them about a certain task.

7. Maintain a Balanced and Healthy Diet
A healthy body yields a healthy brain. A healthy brain yields productivity!
If you neglect nutritious food, do not stay hydrated, and have unhealthy eating habits, please stop complaining about your productivity, and allow your body some healthy nutrition. Your brain and your body are a system that needs energy. This energy can only come from good nutrition. So, make sure to drink adequate water, have a good breakfast and dinner, and eat seasonal fruits throughout the day to stay healthy while you work on your goals.
Healthy food is your body’s fuel. Make sure you give yourself enough fuel to function according to your goals without getting sick or unproductive.
