89 thousand teachers’ seats are vacant in Government schools in Punjab as the recruitment process remained on halt for last three years. According to the details Lahore 2987 seats are vacant in Lahore, 5329 in Sialkot, 4457 in Faisalabad, 4265 in Gujranwala, and 3953 teachers’ seats are vacant in Sargodha district. According to the school education department, recruitment process will start soon.
Out of these 25,112 seats are for PST, 16 thousand 298 for ESE Science, EST General 5 thousand 494, ESE Arts 8 thousand 769, Headmaster 2 thousand 336, Grade 19 Principal 615, Grade 20 Principal 203, SST General 1030, SST Science 1766, and 2 thousand seats are for Urdu teachers.
