AIOU invites applications for the registration of tutors

Allama Iqbal Open University, in continuation of its drive of Digital Transformation to further improve the educational services provided to the students over the Online Learning Management System -Aaghi LMS-, invites highly motivated and experienced academicians to register as part-time Tutors/ Resource Persons. This initiative aims at registering potential candidates who are well versed in tools and technologies required for AIOU online teaching as per university policy. AIOU offers thousands of jobs for Tutorship. The basic job of the AIOU tutors is to check the assignments of the students registered with AIOU through Distance Learning Programs. Tutors are paid as per assignment. Applications can be submitted online through the AIOU web portal. The last date to register for AIOU tutorship is October 10, 2022.

AIOU Tutorship Eligibility Criteria

Matric/SSC: Qualification Required: Minimum 2nd Class Masters Degree

Intermediate, HSSC: Minimum 2nd Class Masters Degree in the Relevant Subject

Associate Degree: Minimum 2nd Class Masters Degree in the Relevant Subject

Masters/ BS (4 year): Minimum 2nd Class Masters Degree in the Relevant Subject Preferably Having an MPhil, PhD Degree

B.Ed (1.5, 2.5, and 4 years) and ADE: Minimum 2nd Class MA Education / M.Ed

PhD MS/MPhil: PhD in the relevant subject

Required Experience for AIOU Tutor Registration  

• Govt. teachers in BPS 16 and above: at least two years of teaching experience required
• Govt. teachers working in grade 11 to 15: three years post qualification teaching experience required
• Teachers working in private institutions: five years post qualification teaching experience required
• Teachers working in the reputed large school network, affiliated colleges with Board/ Universities, and degree awarding institutions: Two years post qualification experience required
• Visiting faculty members of the Universities: One-year post qualification teaching experience required
• MPhil/Ph.D. degree holders, No teaching experience required

How to Apply for AIOU Tutorship

Already registered tutors/ resource persons with verified fees need not apply again, however, they may update their profiles by using link https://tutor.aiou.edu.pk. Processing fee Rs. 1000- to be deposited in any branch of ABL, UBL. FWBL. it can also be deposited through Easypaisa, Upaisa, and bank branches of Telenor and U Bank. A deposit slip may be kept with the applicant himself/ herself i e. no need to send it to the main campus/ university. The Last Date for e-Registration is OCTOBER 10,2022
