The government has decided to teach artificial intelligence to the school students. In the first phase, the project will be implemented in the government schools in Islamabad and Lahore.
The Federal Ministry of Education and Vocational Training has introduced a new curriculum for Information Communication Technology and Artificial Intelligence to be taught in primary schools in the capital from grades 1 to 5. The new curriculum aims to equip students with essential IT and AI skills, provide them with a strong foundation, and prepare them for future technological advancements. Along with growth, promising career paths in technology and AI will be opened.
Similarly, a phase of this project will start from Lahore in Punjab. The first artificial intelligence lab will be built in Government Kinnaird Girls High School, Empress Road. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will inaugurate the artificial intelligence lab next week. After the success of the artificial intelligence course, the aforementioned labs will also be built in schools in other districts of Multan, Khanewal, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan.
