The International Islamic University (IIU) and Pakistan Baitul Mal have signed a memorandum of understanding for bilateral cooperation under which they will provide financial assistance to needy students of the university. Baitul-Mal will provide scholarships to 175 deserving and meritorious undergraduate students and 75 post-graduate students. These students will be recommended by the university.
The MoU signing ceremony was held here at the University's new campus where Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, President IIU, and Mr. Ameer Fida Paracha, Managing Director Baitul Mal signed the document.
Both parties will jointly observe national and international days such as Universal Children's Day, International Women's Day, Thalassemia Day, World Blood Day, and World AIDS Day. Baitul Mal will also provide internship facilities to the students of IUI.
Amir Fida Paracha said on this occasion that Baitul-Mal wants to provide financial assistance to all the poor without discrimination of cost, color, and race. He said that intelligent students are an asset to the country and they will always be the top priority of Baitul-Mal. He said that the youth is the key to success and prosperity and we should invest in their education as it will yield the best results.
Speaking on the occasion, IIUI President spoke about IIUI's services; support for free education of needy students, and the vision of the university. He thanked MD Baitul-Mal for always keeping IIUI students in mind in terms of support. He said that the university tries to help poor students through other resources and opportunities. He hoped that this MoU would lead to a stronger relationship between IIUI and Baitul Mal. HE Dr. Hathal also said that he will convey Baitul-Mal's vision and impressive services to philanthropists around the world and act as a bridge to launch joint ventures to serve societies.
