In a landmark move to enhance educational opportunities, the University of Management and Technology (UMT), under the visionary leadership of its Chairman and President, Ibrahim Hasan Murad, signed an MoU with the Muslim World League (MWL).
Secretary General Muslim World League H.E Dr Muhammad Bin Abdul Karim Al isa, Saudi Ambassador H.E Nawaf bin Saeed Al Malki and Professor Sajjad Qamar were present in the signing ceremony.
The agreement aims to foster collaborative efforts to promote girls' education in Muslim communities, focusing on marginalized groups facing economic and cultural barriers.
The agreement outlines a strategic partnership aimed at, Providing scholarships to female students from underserved communities, Conducting capacity-building programs to ensure sustainable educational development, launching community outreach initiatives in collaboration with local schools and organizations, and promoting the values of tolerance, peace, and cultural harmony through education.
This MoU reaffirms UMT’s unwavering commitment to fostering academic excellence and social justice, aligning with its vision of uplifting marginalized groups through knowledge and empowerment. It also highlights MWL's dedication to combating extremism and promoting global peace by addressing educational disparities.
Speaking on the occasion, Ibrahim Hasan Murad emphasized the transformative potential of education, particularly for girls, in shaping inclusive societies. This partnership is a testament to our shared belief in education as a powerful tool for progress and harmony, he said.
