Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood said that the examinations scheduled in March will be postponed as school remained closed for most parts of the year. The final decision on schools will be taken at the NCOC meeting.
He said that the decision regarding opening of schools in the country will be made on January 4, and the final approval will be given by the NCOC. Speaking on a program on a private TV channel, he said that a decision on whether to open schools or not would be taken on January 4, adding that any final decision in this regard would be taken at the NCOC meeting. However, exams in March will be postponed after that, while summer vacations will also be less this year.
Federal Minister said that 2020 was a difficult year for the world as educational institutions, offices, and markets were closed all over the world. We had to move to online education and many of the loved ones left us, but despite many difficulties, we are working on preparing a comprehensive uniform curriculum. The curriculum up to the primary level has been accepted by three provinces. Despite Corona, all the staff continued to work for a uniform curriculum. A uniform curriculum would be a positive step for the whole country. Therefore, we are trying to make a uniform curriculum model for students in most cities.
