As many as 22 teams from Punjab’ top educational institutes including Punjab University, Kinnaird College, Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Chanab College Jhang, Faislabad GC University, University of Gujrat and Lahore College for Women University, took part in this contest. GCU VC Prof Dr Khleequr-Rahman chaired the final round while cricket team’s former captain Inzamam-ul-Haq was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Khalique appreciated the efforts of Ravians Quiz society for organizing event. The VC called upon the students to take interest in creative and co curricular activities like Quiz competitions which are equally necessary for academic learning. The VC pledged his support to every activity which tends to groom and nurture the students in all spheres of learning.
The chief guest Inzamam-ul-Haq, while speaking on the occasion, seemed nostalgic about his alma mater and said that it is very good to visit GCU after 21 years. Haq appreciated the University efforts in producing men of great honour. In the final round, Services Institute of Medical Sciences secured first position after a very tough competition while University of Engineering Technology and Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad stood 2nd and 3rd respectively.
