Grading system to replace marks system in Board exams within 3 years

Chairman Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, BISE Lahore said that grading system will gradually replace the marks system in board exams. Grading system will be fully implemented within 3 years, by 2021. Chairman Lahore board, Chaudhary Ismail was addressing a press conference in Lahore. He said that the board has already included percentile and grades column in the marks sheets of class 9 and class 11 students. Percentile score and grades of each subjects are being mentioned in the marks sheets.

Chaudhy Ismail said that the procedure of grading system is under consideration of the cabinet, however he stated that examiners and teachers are not fully aware of the procedure. He said that new system needs to be understood, as this system is in accordance with the international standards. Lahore Board chairman also said that the new system will not affect the universities admission procedure.
