KARACHI (PPI): The 17th convocation of Hamdard University was held at Madinat al-Hikmah here o Saturday in which 1330 degrees, including PhDs and MPhils, were awarded to students of all seven faculties. Hamdard University and Shaheed Hakim Said gold medals were also presented to 37 promising students who secured first positions throughout their academic careers. All degrees and gold medals were given away to passing graduates by the chief guest Dr Javed Leghari, Dr Shami and Sadia Rashid, Chancellor, Hamdard University. Speaking on the occasion, Leghari said that Hamdard University was a well known university and generally known by its commitments to quality education and the goals set by its visionary and charismatic founder, Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said.
