A notification claiming the federal government had announced 6 days of holidays from June 27 to July 1 on the occasion of Eidul Azha turned out to be fake. Many websites including us fell for the fake notification۔ The error is regretted.
The notification reads as, "In continuation of Cabinet Division's Circular No: 10-02-2022-Min-II date 23 December 2022 regarding Public and Optional Holidays for the year 2023, it is for general information that Prime Minister is pleased to declare 27th to 1st July 2023 (Tuesday to Saturday), as public holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha."
Eid Holidays 2023
According to the official notification, those who work 5 days a week will have 2 days holiday on June 29th and 30th ( Thursday and Friday) on account of the Eid holidays. For those who work 6 days a week, 3-day holidays are announced from June 29th to July 1st (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday).
