HEC announces registration schedule for Law Admission Test LAT 2025. Higher Education Commission (HEC) conducts the Law Admission Test (Law-LAT) for candidates desiring to get admission in a five-year undergraduate LLB Degree Program in HEC/PBC-recognized public and private sector universities/institutions and their accredited affiliated colleges. The HEC Law Admission Test will be conducted in major cities of the country. Students can select any center of their choice.
The HEC Law Admission Test will be held tentatively on January 12, 2025. The last date to apply for the Law admission test is December 30, 2024. Applications can be submitted online at the HEC website. Please note the HEC Law Admission test is compulsory for admissions to the LLB program in any Government or Private University and their affiliated colleges.
Who Can Apply for the HEC Law Admission Test?
- Students who have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent
- Students who have appeared in the final examination of HSSC or equivalent and their result is awaited
Any change in the examination date will be communicated through http://etc.hec.gov.pk Applicants who register themselves through the HEC online registration process will download their Roll Number Slips through http://etc.hec.gov.pk a week before the examination date.
Email/SMS will be sent to registered applicants regarding the examination date, time, and venue. Candidates are required to provide valid email/mobile numbers while filling out the online application form.
A print-out of the Roll Number Slip and original CNIC will be required to enter in Examination Centre.
How to Register for HEC Law Admission Test LAT 2025

- In case of any difficulty during the online registration, please visit onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk visit the HEC Secretariat, or contact HEC regional offices for guidance
- Application submission comprises two steps: profile completion using the "My Profile" section and application submission using the "Law Admission Test" link on the menu panel in the left-hand sidebar of the online portal.
- Only SUBMITTED applications will be considered for the LAT Test and applications in SAVE or INCOMPLETE mode will not be entertained
- Other Requirements/Conditions
- Test Fee of Rs. 1800/- as to be deposited via 1Link 1Bill invoice participating Bank/ATM/Internet Banking/Mobile Banking/Easypeise/JazzCash/Upesa
- Once you have selected the link bill invoice payment invoice. Open /sign into your mobile app and click on Bill payment of payment services (as per your mobile banking app options).
- Click on Bill Invoice payment services and enter the consumer number generated by the ETC portal. Once you see the details pay the amount.
- After depositing the fee through link 1Bill Invoice, click on Verify Online Payment on the ETC Dashboard. The candidates must resolve their queries/complaints before closing the web registration portal. Queries/complaints.
- The test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Handling beyond the registration deadline is denied by the system due to logistics/security reasons
- The last date for online registration is December 30, 2024.
