The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced the registration schedule for the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test USAT 2025. The last date to apply for USAT is January 20, 2025. HEC USAT will be tentatively held on February 02, 2025.
The Higher Education Commission Viz Education Testing Council (ETC) will conduct the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) for admission at the undergraduate level in universities operating all over Pakistan. The USAT is designed on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) pattern and covers all known disciplines of Engineering, Medicine, IT, Management, and Social Sciences at the undergraduate entry level. The students after qualifying USAT would be eligible to all universities like the SAT.
Who can Apply for the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT 2025)?
- Students who have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent/Grade 12 education
- Students who have appeared in the final examination and are awaiting results
- Students having 12 years/ equivalent education in any discipline
HEC USAT Test Breakup/ Marks Distribution
PART 1
- Number of test items (75 MCQs)
- Time allowed 100 minutes
- Verbal reasoning: 35
- Quantitative reasoning: 40
PART II
- Time allowed 40 minutes
- Essay writing skills 400-500 words (either in English or Urdu): 25
Any score above and equal to 50 will be considered as a qualifying USAT score. The maximum anyone can score on USAT would be the perfect score of 100.
The test is initially proposed on a quarterly basis in the major cities of Pakistan to be held simultaneously. More tests can however be arranged if the need exists. The yearly test calendar will be uploaded on the ETC website and candidates may register themselves through the online registration portal.
Universities will continue to announce their admission program independently. Students will apply to universities and will submit the USAT ETC scorecard for inclusion in the weightage-based merit-determining formula.

- In case of any query during the online registration, please visit onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk or visit HEC regional offices for guidance.
- Application Submission comprises two steps: profile completion using the "My Profile" section and application submission using the "Undergraduate Studies Admission Test" links on the menu panel on the left-hand sidebar of the online portal
- Only SUBMITTED applications will be considered for USAT Test and applications in SAVE or INCOMPLETE mode will not be entertained.
- Candidates will deposit the fee amount via 1Link 1bill invoice participating banks/ATM/Internet banking/Mobil App/EasyPessa/JazCash/UPaisa.
- Once You have selected 1Link 1bill service, open/sign in to your mobile app, and click on bill payment or payment services
- Click on 1bill invoice payment services and enter the consumer number generated by the ETC Portal. Once you see the details, pay the amount.
- Click on verify online payment on ETC dashboard.
- The test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
