HEC approves BBSUL’s higher educational status

KARACHI - The Higher Education Commission (HEC) approved the higher educational status of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Liyari (BBSUL) and allowed it for offering admissions in fall Semester-2012.BBSUL Registrar Dr Mehboob Shaikh stated that the admissions would be granted as per admission policy approved by syndicate. The entry test would be conducted on 28th November at the main campus of University at Liyari. The merit list would be displayed on 30th November, last date to deposit fees would be 10th December, 2012 and classes would be commenced from 12th December, 2012.Sheikh informed that the admission test and interviews would be conducted for 5 departments namely Commerce, English, Computer Sciences, Business Administration and Education against 250 seats in 5 departments. Meanwhile, the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Liyari had received 400 admission forms. The joy of reorganization of the university and permission for admission from HEC were cherished among students at Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Liyari.The student said that HEC’s recognition of the university had opened new door of opportunities for having higher education.
