The Higher Education Department (HED) of the Punjab government has officially announced the schedule for winter vacations across colleges in the province. As per the notification issued on December 13, all public and private colleges will remain closed from December 23, 2024, to January 4, 2025.
This decision was made in light of the ongoing chilly weather conditions and the expected drop in temperatures during the final weeks of December and the start of January. The move is aimed at ensuring the health and safety of students, faculty, and staff during the harsh winter season.
Academic activities will resume on January 5, 2025, following the completion of the vacation period. College administrations have been directed to ensure the effective implementation of the holiday schedule and to notify students accordingly.
The classes of 4 years degree programs shall be held as per previous schedule. Also, all exams shall be held as per board and universities’ schedule. Parents and students are advised to stay updated through official channels for any changes to the announced dates.
