“The administration is using delay tactics. And because of this, we are compelled to go to court,” said Sara Khan, a graduate from the Psychology Department. “During the meeting, we were asked to get sponsors for our gold medals,” another student lamented.
The meeting with Shahana Urooj did not yield any positive results. The protesting graduates demanded the issuance of an acknowledgement letter specifying reasons for not awarding them gold medals. But Urooj told them that the administration had already prepared the merit letters to be handed over to the BS graduates.
“A three-member committee has been constituted to submit their recommendations on the issue, as soon as possible,” she added. The committee will also look for sponsorships for gold medals, the pro VC said.
