Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved, in principle, a Law Graduate Internship Program for thousands of young lawyers across Punjab.
The Punjab Law Graduate Internship Program offers a unique opportunity for recent law graduates to gain valuable experience and guidance in the legal field. The program is designed to equip young law graduates with practical skills and knowledge essential for their careers.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidate must be domiciled in Punjab.
- The candidate must have completed their law degree within the last two years (January 1, 2023, to November 30, 2024).
- The candidate must be registered with the Bar Council between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024.
A total of 500 internship slots will be available at a time, with 1,500 fresh law graduates from across Punjab being given internships annually. The program will ensure 100% merit-based selection, conducted through a lottery system.
During the internship, the Punjab government will provide a monthly stipend of Rs 75,000 to these young lawyers. Selected candidates will be placed in the offices of the Advocate General in Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, and Bahawalpur, based on their respective areas.
