HYDERABAD: The Pre-Entry Test of more than 4263 candidates, including a large number of female candidates, for admission to the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) was held at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), here on Sunday amid tight security.
According to detail, there are 350 seats in Liaquat University of Medical Sciences (LUMS), Hyderabad, 4263 eligible candidates appeared for 350 MBBS seats and 101 BDS seats for 12 districts of the Province. 2810 female and 1453 male candidates participated in the pre entry test.
The Test was conducted from 08:30 a.m to 01:00 p.m at all LUMHS centres here on Sunday.
During a visit, Vice Chancellor LUMHS, Dr. Noshad Ahmed Shaikh along with Director General Health Services Sindh Dr. Hafizul Haq Memon appreciated the arrangements made by the University administration for holding the test in a peaceful and transparent manner.
The VC expressed his determination to bring a strong administrative and academic system based on honesty and merit and free from corruption and with decentralisation of powers.
He said that with dedication and sincere efforts for education better results for achievements are to be waited adding that education is the key to increasing economic efficiency and social consistency.
Dr. Noshad aslo appreciated the media efforts, and said that electronic and print media are welcome to cover the transparent Pre-Entry Test.
It may be mentioned here that the entry tests for admissions tomedical colleges in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Nawabshah and Larkana were simultaneously scheduled for October 30.
Strong contingents of police were deployed inside and outside the Centre of examination, which was held in an environment of complete silence.
