In a major boost for student welfare, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced an ambitious initiative to distribute 100,000 electric bikes (e-bikes) and 50,000 scholarships to students across the province by next year.
The announcement was made during a special ceremony at Okara University, where she also handed out scholarship cheques to deserving students.

During her speech, Maryam Nawaz emphasized her vision for empowering students through quality education and financial support. She proudly stated that the Talented Students Scholarship Program is the largest initiative of its kind in Pakistan's history.
“I am here to speak from the heart and to listen to students,” she said, highlighting her dedication to youth development.
She also commended Education Minister Rana Sikander Hayat, appreciating his efforts and resilience.
“He is doing an excellent job. Like a good student, he takes criticism but continues to deliver results,” she remarked.
Maryam Nawaz reiterated that these scholarships are not an act of charity but a recognition of students' talent and hard work.
