Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced that the Government will start middle-tech, matric-tech inter-tech programs in 300 public schools across the province. The Punjab Government has taken a significant step in diversifying the educational pathways available to students.
Under the chairmanship of provincial education minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, a review meeting was held regarding the start of Middle-Tech, Matric-Tech, and Inter-Tech programs. Consultation and proposals were discussed to start the technology-oriented courses in matric and inter. The education minister instructed the officials to form a committee to finalize the courses. The courses will be designed to bridge the gap between traditional education and practical skills required in the professional world.
The provincial education minister said that matriculation and inter-tech are starting for the first time in the history of Pakistan. The committee will make a way forward by reviewing the facilities and requirements available in the tech labs.
He said that technical courses will be designed according to the market trend, at least 2 tech education centers will be established in every tehsil and separate tech courses will be introduced for girls.
