Interprovincial Education Minister's Conference held today to take a final decision on board exams and reopening of educational institutions. It is finalized to postpone the exams. Matric and Inter exams throughout the country shall now start from July 10. Educational institutions will be opened for class 9 and class 11 as well.
It is also decided to take exams of optional subjects only. Matric exams will be held only for optional subjects and mathematics. Science group will appear in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Computer, and Mathematics. Inter pre-medical students will appear in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics and Pre-Engineering group students will appear in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics papers.
Interprovincial Education Minister's Conference was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood. Education Ministers of all provinces also participated in the conference. Exams are postponed considering students complain about the lack of time for preparation. Now the exams shall start on July 10. No teacher will be allowed in the examination center without vaccination. Vaccination of teachers will be done on a priority basis.
All boards will announce the result latest by the third week of September. Federal Minister also added that these decisions are final and will not be changed again. He said that we will conduct the examination of all board classes this year and no student will be promoted without exams this year.
