"The State will give free and obligatory instruction to all offspring of the age of five to sixteen years in such a way as might be dictated by law”.
The new Government of Pakistan which is the PTI Government is expected to bring new reforms in the educational system of Pakistan. PTI Government organised and managed the education system in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa before making government in the centre. They brought remarkable changes in the province such as
- Uniform and equal education system
- Completion of Schools
- Enrolment of students in Government schools
- Uniform syllabus in the province
- Recruitment of more teachers
- NTS considered necessary for all recruitments.
These changes brought a revolution in the educational history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. More than 1.5lac students shifted from private schools into Government schools.
The new Government is expected to bring such changes in all over the country. Because education of any country is the key to its success. A country can't flourish if the citizens are uneducated. So mere degrees are not enough. Students should be provided with quality education.
People of Pakistan have great hopes from the new Government and the education ministry. It is expected that the government will make changes in the current system. Current education system is based over cramming and this is not right. Revolutionary changes are required.
A nation can not progress if the education system is decades old. Education ministry should keep this sector updated with the time. New methods of pedagogy should be introduced. Teachers selection should be on merit. We should hope for the best.
