Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen has decided to change the paper pattern of the 9th, 10th, 1st-year, and 2nd-year exams. 25% of the paper shall include analytical and conceptual questions. The decision was taken in a meeting held on June 15th, 2023. A notification is issued in this regard, which reads as follows.
The Punjab Boards Committee of Chairpersons in its meeting held on 15th June 2023 vide agenda item No. 3, following decisions were made regarding "Improvement of Current Education/Assessment System in Punjab”
The syndicate marking system will be adopted with effect from 2 Annual 2023 Examinations for SSC & HSSC by all BISES in Punjab.
The analytical/Conceptual part of question papers will be 25% of all subject papers in the exams to be conducted in 1 Annual 2024 (for both SSC & HSSC). In this regard, all BISES will arrange meetings with paper setters and ten model papers of each subject will be proposed on an urgent basis after deliberations. In the review of the committee, these model papers will be disseminated to class-level teachers of SSC and HSSC so that both the teachers and students might be well aware of this change in their papers during the coming exams. It was further decided that no paper setter will be deployed without having command of Blooms Taxonomy
