According to the letter sent to Vice Chancellor of Sindh Madressatul Islam University, Dr Muhammad Ali Shaikh, who is also incharge Principal of DCET, on Feb 15 the Pakistan Engineering Council said that considering the recent compliance report submitted by DCET and appointment of qualified faculty, re-accreditation is granted to BE Electronics and BE Chemical for two years, that is, intake of Bathes 2007 and 2008, says a DCET statement here on Friday.
Pakistan Engineering Council granted re-accreditation to BE Industrial Engineering and Management for one year, that is, Intake of year 2008 (Batch 2007) only.
Dr Ali Shaikh said that it was a serious matter facing the last two batches of DCET (Batch 2007 and 2008) as their degrees were not being recognised by the Pakistan Engineering Council.
Hence, a serious problem of the students that was affecting their career was resolved. Now the batch 2009 is appearing in the final examination so the students of this batch would not pass through such agony, the DCET statement added.
