Pakistan Medical and Dental Council PMDC has finalized the merit/aggregate formula for MBBS and BDS admissions 2020. MBBS merit formula was changed last year by PMC, but now PMD has finalized a new policy for medical and dental college admissions and MDCAT 2020.
According to the news formula, the weightage of entry test MDCAT is set as 50%, 40% weightage to FSc Marks, and 10% weightage for Matric Marks. Previously, the weightage of the Entry test and FSc marks was 50/50. PMDC has almost finalized the MBBD and BDS admission 2020 policy and it is expected to be announced soon.
PMDC Medical Merit/ Aggregate formula 2020
- Entry Test: 50% weightage
- FSc Marks: 40% weightage
- Matric Marks: 10% weightage
It is pertinent to mention here that PMDC has also revised the eligibility criteria for appearing in MDCAT 2020. Now students are required to have minimum of 65% marks for appearing in MDCAT.
Minimum 33% marks are set as passing marks for MDCAT. There are other few changes in the policy for medical admissions 2020, including the option of selecting more than 3 colleges in the priority list. Last Year, PMC made it compulsory for the students to select only 3 medical colleges in the priority list, which caused lots of problems for the students as well as for admitting universities. The condition is revised now.
