Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has rescheduled MDCAT 2023. According to the new schedule, MDCAT shall be conducted on September 10, 2023. An official notification is issued in this regard.
It is to inform all MDCAT 2023 aspirants that as the Federal Secretary, Ministry of National Health Service Regulations & Coordination Islamabad, that the Federal Government has decided to extend and reschedule the MDCAT Examination to new date i.e. 10th September 2023 (Sunday)
The paper-based exam will be conducted simultaneously at all centers/ Venues. The details of the universities and their venues are as follows:
- Bolan University of Medical Quetta, (Baluchistan)
- Jinnah Sindh Medical University (Sindh)
- Khyber Medical University (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
- University of Health Sciences, Lahore (Punjab)
- AJK (SZAMBU)
- International Venues (SZAMBU)
- Federal and Gilgit (SZAMBU )
Correction for Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Registration
Pursuant to the delay in the Notification of admitting universities from the Federal Government, In order to facilitate the candidates across the country, the Competent Authority has decided to allow all the candidates to change the venue/admitting university/Any other change/error by candidates in the registration portal of MDCAT 2023.
This option will only be open for a limited period of 48 hours from 6th and 7th August 2023. The candidates are advised that they can make the changes on the above-mentioned dates accordingly. This option will be provided across the country and will be available for one time only.
MDCAT 2023 Registration Schedule
- Registration starts: 17 July to July 31, 2023
- MDCAT conduct: August 27, 2023
The content of the letter is as follows:
Medical Admission Test MDCAT Registration Fee:
The Registration fee will remain the same as last year i.e. Rs. 6,000/-
MDCAT Admission Test PASSING PERCENTAGE FOR SESSION (2023-24);
The Passing Criteria of MDCAT-2023 have been approved for seeking admission to Medical or Dental colleges:
- MBBS: 55%
- BDS: 50%
MDCAT RESULT VALIDITY:
The MDCAT result 2023 of one province shall be valid for the entire country and shall be valid for a period of three years from the date of its examination as per section 17 of the PM&DC Act 2022. The results of MDCAT-2022 are no longer valid for seeking admission in session 2023 which was already mentioned on the individual result certificates.
INTERNATIONAL VENUES:
To facilitate the international candidates, MDCAT-2023 will be held at two international countries/Venues i.e., Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). International aspirants are directed to choose one of these two options according to their convenience of visa as well as traveling.
REGISTRATION FEE FOR INTERNATIONAL VENUES:
The international venue registration fee for MDCAT-2023 is 100 USD Dollar. The international venues' late Registration fee for MDCAT-2023 is 150 USD Dollar.
Choice of local Centre:
The candidates are directed to choose one city/station mentioned above in order of preference for appearance in the entry test. The candidates are advised for their own convenience to choose the city/station nearest to their residence. City/station once selected can not be changed.
