With smog and corona on the rise in Pakistan, the Punjab government has agreed to close educational institutions from the second week of November. The Federal Government had consulted Punjab on granting leave in November.
According to sources, a meeting of the National Coordinating Committee for Corona is underway under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed concern over the rise in Corona cases in the country. According to the federal proposal, educational institutions will be closed from the second week of November, and winter holidays in December will be adjusted in advance. Punjab has agreed to close educational institutions soon.
In addition, in view of the increasing number of corona cases in educational institutions, the federal government has also convened an inter-provincial education ministers' conference on November 5. The education ministers of the four provinces will attend the conference. The meeting will also decide whether to take the eighth board exams or not.
