Rawalpindi board and other boards of Punjab province has agreed to upsurge the admission form processing fee from Rs 200 to Rs 500. The Punjab government declared that an annual grant would be given to board to cover the gap caused by this exemption of fees.
While from the last 3 years no grant has been allocated to the educational boards due to which they are facing financial problems. According to the sources, to cover this gap the boards have increased fees of private candidates.
Meanwhile, Punjab Teachers Union has shown their apprehension on this issue and demanded to take the decision back. They said that they would start protests in the whole province if the decision would not be taken back.
Moreover, Justice Khawaja Imtiaz Ahmed of Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has cancelled the orders of the Rawalpindi board on this issue. The court ordered the board authorities to appear and submit their answers on January 23 on the petition of All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association.
