The Punjab government has formulated a policy to have school teacher interns in government schools. The higher education department, Government of Punjab had already hired College Teaching Interns CTIs in Public Colleges. School teaching interns will be hired on the same pattern. In the first phase, school teacher interns will be hired in only 6 districts of the province.
A monthly stipend of Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 30,000 will be given. The recruitment process will start from July 1. The Punjab Government has issued a policy of hiring School Teacher Interns. According to the policy, temporary teachers will be hired. These teachers shall be called school teacher interns. School teacher internees shall continue to serve till permanent recruitment on vacant seats of teachers in government schools.
School Teacher Interns will be given a monthly stipend of Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 30,000 from primary to higher secondary. In the first phase, school teacher interns will be recruited in Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Gujranwala, Rahim Yar Khan, Mianwali, and Sialkot. Candidates are required to be local while merit will be based on the candidate's academic ability and there will be only five marks for interviews. The recruitment process for Schools Teacher Interns in 6 specific districts will be completed by August 4.
