Punjab Education Minister Dr Murad Raas announced that schools and colleges in all districts of Punjab will be reopened tomorrow May 31. Institutions will be opened for class 10 and class 12 only. Institutions will be allowed to hold classes for 50% of the students each day. Schools and colleges are not allowed to conduct any other class on campus till June 07.
Dr. Murad Raas announced the reopening of the schools and colleges through a tweet today. His tweet reads as "Only class 10tha and 12th to be opened in all districts of Punjab starting tomorrow May 31st, 2021. It will be staggered with 50% students on one day and 50% on the alternate day. No other classes to be allowed till June 7th, 2021. Follow SOPs"
It is pertinent to mention here that NCOC has allowed provinces to open schools and colleges for class 10 and 12. NCOC has also announced that Matric and inter-exams shall be conducted from June 23rd to July 29. NCOC allowed reopening schools and colleges for class 10th and 12th for preparation of exams. Also students are protesting online and in many cities and demanding the Government either to cancel or postpone the exams.
