On the orders of Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, Secretary College Education Department Ahmed Bakhsh Narejo issued a new policy for inter-year admissions. Admissions will be finalized according to the zone system as per merit
According to the policy, the admissions in the entire Sindh will be under the online system SECCAP. Online applications will be received from 27 June to 20 July and the result will be released on 25 July.
Classes will be started in all colleges on August 5, Rashid Ahmad Khoso, Deputy Director of Colleges Sindh, Secretary SECCAP Committee confirmed. Under the new zone system in Karachi, children will be offered admission to the colleges near their homes.
SECCAP New Zone System Policy 2023
Students who have A+ and A grades can apply anywhere in Karachi. Students who have B, C, and D grades will be able to submit applications only in their respective zone, Secretary Secap Committee.
Zones will be created in Mirpur Khas, Sukkur, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Hyderabad by the respective Regional Directors.
This year the merit of admissions to first-year classes will be determined on the basis of ninth-class results. Also, the uniform in all colleges of Sindh will be the same. No college in the province shall be allowed to design its own uniform. Everything will be centralized and College will not issue anything including ID cards and admission forms.
Students whose current and permanent addresses are from Sindh will be allowed to submit their domicile before the examinations. Those whose current of permanent address is from another province will have to submit the domicile at the time of admission.
