Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) Islamabad has announced that separate practical examinations will be conducted for Class 9, 10, 11, and 12. Prior to this, practical examinations at the SSC level were conducted at the 10th grade and for the HSSC level at the 12th grade. But now, the students will have to appear in practical exams in both years of SSC and HSSC exams.
A notification is issued in this regard and is forwarded to all the concerned departments. The decision will be applicable to Matric and Inter exams 2024. The notification reads “It is notified for information of all concerned that FBISE will conduct separate practical examinations instead of the composite at SSC and HSSC level for classes 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th with effect from annual examination 2024.”
The board also increased the pass percentage of Matric and Inter exams from 33% to 40%. A notification is also issued and this decision will be applicable from the Annual exams 2023. Students scoring less than 40% marks will now be considered failures.
