On Saturday the place was visited by the Vice Chancellor of the University and the district administration. Vice Chancellor Dr. Nazir Ahmed told the journalist in an interview that land of about 100 acres is declared for the University Campus and the working has been started by the district administration.
Muhammad Usman Mangi the Director, Estate of University of sindh told that it will take two months to take possession on the land and in the meanwhile PC-I will be prepared by the university planning advisor Dr. Mohammad Hassan and Project Director of Engineering Qamar-ul-Hassan Memon. When we get approved the PC-I by the HEC, the work will be started on campus.
This campus will fulfill the education needs of students from Larkana, Qambar-Shahdadkot, Noushahro Feroz, Ghotki and parts of Dadu district, Mr Mangi said. Allama Iqbal Open University declared 50 acres of land for its new campus and also 220 acres of land is declared for the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Medical University. DCO said that this establishment of different institutes on the airport road will lead to the emergency of education.
