Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC) has halted admission in all disciplines of the Karachi Institute of Technology & Entrepreneurship (KITE). HEC Sindh has issued a student alert in this regard and advised students not to seek admission to any program offered by Karachi Institute of Technology & Entrepreneurship.
The alert also mentions KITE is failing to adhere to the guidelines set by the Charter Inspection and Evaluation Committee (CIEC), of the Sindh Higher Education Commission. In the interest of maintaining academic standards and quality education, the Sindh HEC through CIEC has issued directives to KITE, which the institution has failed to comply with.
However, it is pertinent to mention here that the KITE admissions are stopped, and the institute is not declared illegal, hence admission may resume after some time when the institute fulfills Sindh HEC requirement. However, to seek admission to the university, the students must wait for the announcements from Sindh HEC.
