Accordingly it was decided that subject experts for the University will be selected from amongst its standing list, consequent to interviews of the short listed candidates.
The SMIU selection board had its first ever meeting, under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Dr Mohammad Ali Shaikh and attended by former Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice (Retd) Rana Bhagwandas and former Chairman of the Federal Public Service Commission, Syed Irshad Ali Shah, Chairman Sindh Public Service Commission and former secretary Cabinet Division Abdul Waheed Qazi.
The meeting decided that candidates for the posts of professors and associate professors would be selected from its standing list and as a principle, announcements for vacant posts would always be made through advertisement.
On the occasion, the board members also approved the schedule for interviews for the posts of Additional Registrar, Deputy Director Finance, Headmaster SMIU Model School (Boys) and SMIU Model School (Girls).
The meeting also approved the standing list of subject experts for selecting candidates for the posts of Professors and Associate Professors.
