SMIU to conduct pre-entry test on Nov 18

Karachi, Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) is going to organize admission test for five departments, Media Studies, Business Administration, Environmental Studies, Education and Computer Science, on November 18 in its premises.

In this respect, a meeting of the dean of faculties of SMIU was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor of SMIU Dr Muhammad Ali Shaikh, in which all the necessary arrangements were studied in detail.

Addressing the meeting, Dr Shaikh said that it was a historic phase of the SMIU’s history, spread over 127 years, that that a first batch of talented students was being selected for the University., where founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and other great leaders, intellectuals and professionals had received their education. He said that SMIU will set new examples of success in future upholding its glorious past.

He said admissions at SMIU will be given purely on merit basis, but some talented students, belonging to poor families of the province will also be given a chance to study at this historic institution.
