Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz presided over the special meeting and approved the student merit scholarship for the students. Merit Scholarship will be awarded to 25 Thousand students. The Punjab government will pay all the educational expenses of 25 thousand students for four year degree program. The Punjab Government has approved a budget of PKR: 100 billion Rupees for the Student Merit Scholarship.
The CM also approved the cash prizes for the position holders of all BISEs of the Punjab. Teachers of the position holders will also receive cash prizes.
Undergraduate students enrolled in all public sector universities are eligible to apply. Students studying in eight selected private universities will also be eligible to receive a 100% scholarship. This scholarship will be provided on a merit basis.

Transport Scheme for Female Colleges
On the direction of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, a transport program for female students is also being started. The Government will provide Buses 60 girls' colleges in different districts of Punjab under the Chief Minister Transport Program in the first phase. In the next phase, the program will be expanded to cover all districts of Punjab.
The establishment of an IT hub has been approved. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif ordered immediate steps for the establishment of an IT hub and while directing the necessary steps to start the laptop scheme, said that the process of providing laptops to the students will be initiated as soon as possible.
