Due to a severe shortage of teaching staff in Government Colleges, the Higher education Department has decided to recruit 10,000 teachers for Public sector Colleges in Punjab. The higher education Department has prepared a summary in this regard. The recruitment process shall start after the approval of the Chief Minister.
According to the details, there is a severe shortage of staff in the colleges of Punjab at present. Due to the lack of staff, it has become difficult to continue the academic activities in the colleges. Thousands of teaching posts remained vacant after the retirement of the experienced faculty members. It is also pertinent to mention here that the recruitment process shall start after 12 years.
The situation has worsened after Corona and Dengue, on which HED has decided to recruit 10,000 posts in the colleges, a summary of which is being sent to the Chief Minister. The advertisement will be issued as soon as it is approved. Newly appointed teachers will join their educational institutions during the summer holidays.
