University of Health Science UHS Lahore conducts Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test MDCAT for admissions to MBBS and BDS in Government and Private medical colleges of Punjab. VC UHS has announced the expected dates for MDCAT 2020 in Punjab.
In his recent interview, VC UHS said that the date for MDCAT 2020 is not finalized yet, but it is expected to be held in 3rd or last week of October 2020. Prof Javed Akram said that we require a minimum of 6-8 weeks for entry test arrangements. As UHS conducts MDCAT in different locations throughout the province, hence it requires lots of time and manpower for the arrangement of the entry test centers.
VC UHS has also said that PMDC is going to hold a meeting on the subject, to finalize the dates of entry test for all provinces. The registration of the entry test is expected to start from Mid September, while the test date will be at the end of October.
A major hurdle in finalizing the medical entry test dates is the uncertainty of coronavirus pandemic. As the situation may get worse after Muharaam, hence the authorities are hesitant to announce the exact date of the test. However, the VC said that after Muharram, the situation will be clearer. As of now, the expected date of UHS MDCAT 2020 is the end of October 2020.
