Universities in Lahore extended admission dates

Lahore, Several public sector and semi government universities have extended their last dates of submitting admission forms. Dates have been extended for various academic programs. As Punjab government has given ten days holidays to all the institutions to avoid the risk of dengue fever.

Government College University (GCU) has extended the last dates for submission of BA/BSc (Hons) admission forms to September 22, 2011. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman has taken the decision on Friday by keeping in mind the dengue ongoing situation. GCU Registrar Anjum Nisar informed the media that entrance test for admission to the MS/MPhil would be held on the same schedule as announced earlier.

University of Education has also extended the date of admissions in intermediate programmes at bank road, Joharabad, Multan, Okara, DG Khan Campuses and Division of Science and Technology from September 16 to September 22, 2011. Students can submit their admission forms till September 22 up by 4:00pm, said the Vice Chancellor Dr Faiz-ul-Hasan.

It is expected that Punjab University which has its last date of form submission today September 17, might also extends the admission dates for the ease of students.
