The government of Punjab has officially announced the winter vacation schedule for government and private schools in the province. According to the notification, winter vacations in all public and private schools of the province shall be observed from December 20, 2024 to January 10, 2025.
Secretary School Education Department Mr. Khalid Nazir Wattoo officially confirmed the schedule of the winter break. HE emphasized the importance of maintaining a balanced academic routine, with the uniform dates applicable to both public and private schools across Punjab.
Parents are encouraged to balance leisure with study time during the break. Parents must spend quality time with their children and ensure their health is maintained during the winter.
Avoid excessive screen time and encourage constructive activities, like reading and skill-building.
The extended winter break is scheduled due to the country's extreme cold wave. Islamabad and northern Punjab are experiencing extreme cold waves.
Schools will reopen on January 11, 2025, marking the resumption of regular classes.
