Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) shall conduct the entrance test for admission to the first year of MBBS/BDS in public and private medical and dental institutions of Pakistan.
As per the Regulations of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, it is mandatory to appear in the PMDC Entrance Test for admission to any medical/dental college in the country either public or private. All students, whether local, overseas Pakistanis, or international students are required to appear for MDCAT. Overseas Pakistanis and International students can appear in the test centres in the country of their stay.
PMDC MDCAT 2023 REGISTRATION SCHEDULE
Registration for PMDC MDCAT 2023 will start on July 17, 2023. The last date to register for PMDC MDCAT 2023 is July 31, 2023.
The last date to apply for PMDC MDCAT 2023 with late fee is August 7, 2023
PMDC MDCAT 2023 MOCK TEST
Students will be able to appear in the free mock tests for preparation. Students can also avail the chances of more than one mock test.
PMDC MDCAT 2023 TEST PATTERN
The test shall consist of one paper containing 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs)- four options with single best answer- divided into the following four sections.
- Total number of MCQs: 200
- Duration of MDCAT: 3.5 hours
- Format: Paper-based MCQs

Easy: 20%
Moderate: 60%

There shall be question papers of different codes in which the sequence of questions and their responses shall be different from one another. The questions, however, shall be the same.
PASS PERCENTAGE
Minimum 60% marks required to pass Entry Test. Minimum 70% aggregate is required for Admission to MBBS and a Minimum 60% aggregate required for admission to BDS Program.
PMDC MDCAT 2023 ELIGIBILITY
FSC/Alevel result is not required for appearing in MDCAT. Students can appear in intermediate exams after MDCAT.
WHO CAN APPLY
It is mandatory for candidates to appear in MDCAT for admission to any public sector medical/dental institution or any private sector medical/dental institution of Pakistan.
Foreign Nationals/Overseas Pakistanis can appear in MDCAT. Mere appearance in MDCAT does not confer the right to apply for or claim admission to any medical/dental institution.
MDCAT 2023 FEE
Registration fee for exam centres in Pakistan is Rs. 6,000/-
Late Registration fee for exam centers in Pakistan is Rs. 9,000/-
Registration fee for International exam centres is 100 USD
Late Registration fee for International exam centers is 150 USD Dollar
MDCAT VALIDITY
MDCAT 2023 result shall be valid for a period of three years from the date of exam. If you retake the MDCAT exam during this period, you can use the highest result to apply for medical and dental colleges. The results of MDCAT-2022 are no longer valid for seeking admission in session 2023. MDCAT result 2023 of one province shall be valid for the entire country
