Fully funded Overseas PhD Scholarship by University of Kotli

University of Kotli Azad Jammu & Kashmir announces overseas Ph.D. Scholarships under the faculty development program. Scholarships will be awarded for Ph.D. in Banking & Finance, Commerce, Education, Law, English, and Public Administration. All Pakistani/AJK nationals can apply for University of Kotli overseas Ph.D. scholarships.

Applications for Ph.D. scholarships Against the Project titled “Development of Academic & Research Facilities at the University of Kotli, AJ&K can be submitted latest by February 12, 2021. Minimum 50% marks in HEC Aptitude Test HAT are required. Application forms are available at the university website www.uokajk.edu.pk Awardees will have to execute a bond with the University of Kotli to serve for 5 years after completion of Ph.D. No request for change of University for the purpose of service bond will be entertained in any case.

Overseas Ph.D. Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

1. Pakistani / AJK nationals
2. Candidate must have a minimum qualification of MS/ M.Phil or equivalent (18 years) in a relevant field before the closing date.
3. Must have a first division (in annual examination system) or CGPA 3.0 out of 4.0 or 75% marks in the final degree.
4. Maximum two-second divisions and no third division throughout academic career.
5. Maximum age on the closing date for the Ph.D. scholarship:
   1. 40 years for full-time regular faculty members of public sector universities/ colleges and employees of the public sector R&D organizations.
   2. 35 years for all others.
6. Must have obtained requisite qualification on or before closing date i.e.12th February 2021.
7. Those who are availing of any other scholarship are not eligible to apply.
8. Must have a minimum of 50 % marks in a valid University/HEC Aptitude Test (HAT). University will consider the best HAT score of the last one year for shortlisting and qualifying for further processing.

How to apply for the University of Kotli Overseas Ph.D. Scholarship

• Applicants are required to submit applications on the prescribed form along with attested copies of degrees/certificates and other documents must reach to the undersigned Office on or before February 12, 2021. Applications received after the due date will not be entertained. 
• Bank Draft of Rs. 1000/- for all disciplines in favor of the DDO Project, University of Kotli, AJ&K, must be enclosed with the application.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

1. The scholarships will be awarded in specific subject areas.
2. University / HEC may conduct scholarship test/interview for shortlisting. The candidates will be informed about the test/interview via email.
3. Candidates, who are not faculty members already at the University of Kotli, will go through the selection process independently carried out by the University.
4. Successful scholars will be appointed without pay & allowances till the completion of their studies. The emoluments will start once they join the University after successful completion of the studies abroad.
5. In-service applicants and faculty members at other universities/organizations will also go through the same selection procedure as explained above; in case they are considered for award of scholarship.
6. In-service candidates should apply through the proper channel after getting NOC from their current employer.
7. Award of the scholarship will only be confirmed after faculty appointment and grant of study leave as per rules of the University.

9. Candidates are required to fulfill the requirement of Host University to secure admission in Ph.D. which includes International GRE, TOFEL, etc.
