Punjab Workers Welfare Board Talent Scholarship

Punjab Workers welfare board announces the Talent Scholarship 2021 for the children of industrial workers/miners in the province. PWWB offers talent scholarship 2020 to the children of workers/miners in the province studying from Inter to Ph.D. level or in any vocational training institution. Applications can be submitted online at PWWB website. Required documents are also to be uploaded with the application form.  

The list of documents required is mentioned in the online application form. Scanned documents are required at the time of submission of the scholarship form. Eligibility Criteria for Workers / Miners:

The worker needs to fulfill the following criteria:

  1. A person is qualified as a labor department worker if he fulfills the definition of worker as is defined in the industrial Relation Act, 2010.
  2. The worker should have a valid social security card.
  3. The worker should have a minimum work experience of 3 year, however, there is no requirement of service period for Category-I.
  4. Worker or Miner should be covered by EOBI or Social Security. In case of non-covered, an undertaking is required as mentioned in the advertisement.
  5. Organization of the worker / Miner should be registered under Factories act or Mines act, and must be paying 2% Workers welfare fund or 5% unders workers participation act 1968. 
  6. Children of deceased/ disable workers are also eligible to apply for this scholarship provided that the worker/ miner was deceased/ disabled during service, registered under the EOBI/ Social Security, his widow/ legal heir got Death Grant from Punjab Workers’ Welfare Board. 

How to apply for PWWB Merit scholarship 2021

The application form can also be downloaded from the PWWB website. Following documents are required to attached with the application form.

  1. Worker/ miner’s CNIC.
  2. Worker/ miner’s Social Security Card/ Old Age Benefit Card.
  3. Worker/ miner’s Factory Card/ Employee Card mentioning his/ her designation.
  4. Worker/ miner’s Appointment Letter.
  5. The Factory Registration Certificate under the Factories’ Act 1934 or Mines Act 1923.
  6. CNIC/ Family Registration Certificate issued by NADRA of the prospective student.
  7. In case deceased/ disabled worker/ miner, proof of receiving Death Grant/ Disability Pension needs to be submitted.
  8. Admission Letter
  9. In case of private institute, copy of recognition or affiliation certificate is required
